The ozone layer is our only shield; it is the fine line that protects people, the creatures and Mother Nature from the harmful and damaging effects of the sun. According to research published in the journal, Science, scientists have found that our Earth’s Antarctic ozone layer is slowly starting to show signs of healing. This healing development has been made possible by the 1987 Montreal Protocol, which sought to eliminate elements such as halons and chlorofluorocarbons that were once present in our aerosol cans, refrigerators and dry cleaning chemicals.
Since the establishment of the 1987 Montreal Protocol there have been further studies regarding Green Technology – this pertains to technology that is considered to be environmentally friendly in its production process or supply chain.
Green Tech is also extremely important in the freezer industry; technological advances in recent years have removed over 400 million food miles from the UK transport network alone. This has resulted in the overall reduction of carbon emissions by 6,000 tonnes a year – and that is only for the Food and Beverage Industry!

The F-Gas Certificate is a requirement for all businesses that install, repair, maintain or service air-conditioning, refrigeration and/or heat pump equipment containing refrigerants.
